Brief Answer:
First rule out pregnancy then she can take progesterone to delay menses.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

Two matters are important in her case, one why her menses are delayed? She should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

Primolut-N is a progesterone (a prescription drug) used to delay menses but it should be started 2-3 days before her expected period date and stayed till the date she will not require her menses.

In her case she is already overdue for her period but she can immediately start primolut-N to delay her menses after consulting her treating doctor and continue for two weeks but not more than that.

But maybe in her case she will resume her menses early also.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.

Hi,
thanks for advice. I did not understand the last line of resuming menses. The main thing is we will go on a honeymoon on 25th, so should she start the medicine by tomorrow morning??

Also, she cant be pregnant because we did not have it in past few months. Still I will get it checked. But is there any assurance that this medicine will work? Or shall we wait for today atleast.

Brief Answer:
She can wait for today and start the medicine from tomorrow.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again.

She can start the medicine from tomorrow morning.

As we have discussed before that Primolut-N should start 2-3 days before her expected period date to delay menses but in her case it is not possible, then that is the reason I am not able to give assurance about its effectiveness.

So I said that she may resume her period early.

Hopefully it is clear now.

Good luck.
