Question: Hello,
I am writing to ask a question. What kind of treatment/medication would you recommend for yeast infection in a female. And what would you recommend for her male partner who has had unprotected sex with her. Thanks in anticipation of your swift and favourable response.

Brief Answer:
treatment is appropriate

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, thanks for trusting health care magic.
The treatment prescribed to her is optimum.
Fluconazole will treat candida a fungal infection, metronidazole will treat gram negative bacteria and trichomonas.
Thus all organisms will be covered and application of canestan cream will have early site specific action for fast relief till action of above drugs is awaited.
Take all these as prescribed and also ask her to take care of the local hygiene.
For your prophylactic treatment take triokit or ASF kit which is a combination of azithromycin, fluconazole and secnidazole.
Take the kit once only in same day, the day your partner starts her treatment.
I hope this will help you fight the infection if any.
All the best

Thank you for your response. I didn't quite understand you. Are you saying all the medications I mentioned ( Diflucan,Flagyl and Canesten cream, ciprofloxacin ) as recommended for her by the doctor will treat and cover all organisms ?
As for the triokit you recommended, should I just walk into a pharmacy store and ask for Triokit or ASF kit ? I have been experiencing some burning in my penis since yesterday afternoon, after holding my pee for long as I was in traffic driving. Thanks for your help.

Brief Answer:
easily available drugs

Detailed Answer:
Yes your doctor has given you right set of medicines and all are available in simple pharmaceutical shops easily as these are commonly used drugs including the kit.
Vaginal infections causing discharge are usually mixed infections and thus manageged in all the aspects covering common organisms.
As you also have symptoms you too need to take the kit as advised.
Take full course and in case symptoms persist visit your doctor for examination.
All the best
