Brief Answer:
colic pain is very common but will settle soon

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description it looks like your baby has colic pain.
This is commonly seen in the evening and night.
If you are burping well then partly you have already taken care of it.
What I would suggest my patients is simethicone drops.
I usually prescribe around 0.4 ml three to four times a day before feeds.
This can be usually given for a few days and then as and when required.
Don't worry colic pain settles in most of the babies by 6 to 8 months.
As stools are normal digestion is not a issue here.
Another thing which causes excessive crying is urinary tract infection.
If simethicone doesn't help, get your baby's urine tested for infection.
If present it may require antibiotics.
Continue feeding and burping.
Wishing your baby good health and speedy recovery.

Thks for ur prompt reply. I will take note of ur advise.

I know that is good to let baby sleep early and wake up early. Do u encourage waking up baby say at 8am or let him sleep thru the morning till he wakes up naturally?

Brief Answer:
let him sleep naturally

Detailed Answer:
It is better to let him sleep and wake up naturally.
Sleeping pattern takes few more months to regularise.
No need to wake up at 8 am if he is still sleeping.
