Brief Answer:
Please take combiflam after a gap of 4-6 hours after calpol and after food

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Calpol contains paracetamol 500 mg and is an anti inflammatory for treating mild pain and fever.

Combiflam contains ibuprofen 400 mg and paracetamol 325 mg and has similar function to calpol.

Usually these medicines are taken every 4 to 6 hours and not more than 4 grams per day in an adult.

If your pain is not getting relieved then you can start combiflam from next dose
The gap between doses should be 4 to 6 hours and this should be taken after food.

It is important to know that if you have sore throat which is due to viral infection then the pain will persist for 3 to 5 days. Please also do warm water gargle twice daily for a week.

If there is no improvement in 3 days and if the pain is worsening then there might be a secondary bacterial infection and this requires to be treated with antibiotics after consulting your doctor.

Hope your query is answered.
