Brief Answer:
Ziprax dose is 8-10 mg/kg/day and is safe for 1.5 month old baby

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Ziprax contains 50 mg of cefixime in 5 ml. Dose of cefixime is 8-10 mg/kg/day in two divided dosage. 1.5 ml dose twice a day(30 mg total) is adequate for 3-4 kg baby. Cefixime has been found safe in babies more than one month.
Most of the loose motion and vomiting in this age is due to viral infection, but bacterial infection is not uncommon. Cefixime has a good coverage for the bacteria causing loose stool in this age group.
ORS,frequent breast feed and antiemetic(like domstal) is also needed.
Watch for frequency of urine,lethrgy/irritability,oral acceptance of fluids. If you find any abnormality consult your pediatrician immediately.

Brief Answer:
All prescribed medications are right with adequate dosing

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome again

The delponorm contains probiotic(normal gut flora),perinorm(metoclopramide) an antiemetic, lanzol (lansoprazole) an acid reducing medicine and nuzinc(zinc). All these medications are right for the loose motion and vomiting. The dosing is also right for the 1.5 months old baby.
Give her ORS and frequent breast feed. Observe for the danger signs mentioned above.
If you have any more concern,I would be glad to answer. If you are satisfied then please close the discussion and rate it.

while passing stool she get irritated and starts crying loudly, also she is suffering from farting issue a lot. while releasing gas she cries a lot. and the urine she is releasing is bit hot. my thinking is may be due to heat in stomach she is facing from itching & burning while passing stool and urine. need your suggestion on this.

Brief Answer:
The crying and irritability will subside after acute illness

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Child may get irritable during acute illness due to so many causes. This may be due to perianal irritation or intestinal colic.
During excessive cry baby swallows air and that may be the reason of excessive farts. Even intestinal infection itself can cause increased farts.Sometimes transient lactose in tolerance also can cause increased farts.
It is a myth that intestinal heat comes out through urine.
I would suggest you to give decolic drops(to relieve intestinal colic) and to apply some ointment like rashfree if there is perianal redness, after consulting your pediatrician.
Also get a urine examination done to rule out any urinary infection as this is commonly associated with intestinal infection.
Don't feed by bottle and burp the baby adequately after each feed.
