Question: recently started taking prozac and now have itchy peeling skin. Is this a side effect that will pass?

Itching is well known side effect of prozac that mostly remits in few weeks. To be precise most patients show improvement in less than one month and more than two third show decrease in itching in just one week.

In case your symptoms are persisting more than one week and not decreasing over time the itching and peeling skin may be unrelated to prozac and needs proper evaluation from dermatologist.
