Question: I am 36 years old, female with previous history of ARDS caused by the influenza virus which progressed to me losing most of my left lung, ALL WHILE I was pregnant and in a paralyzed propofol coma for a little over 10 weeks. It has been five years since this happened. I still have issues with shortness of breath, pain in my chest cavity, and more prone to getting sicker than most is exposed. After my last x-ray approximately eight or nine months ago they saw some nodules and what was left of my left lobe and they were not sure if they were cancerous or not. They said I should follow up within six months for a pet scan, which I have not done yet. Currently I have a fever of about 100 and have had for the last three days. My normal temperature is usually about 96.5 . I have a sore throat and I'm clammy. I get hot and cold very easily. I also get nauseous to the point of throwing up several times a day. My daughter was just exposed to strep throat at school, and our entire family has had strep pass between a few people about twice now in the last two months. does it sound like I have strep throat? Ps. When I cough up phlegm it is greenish. I have pain when i breath. Soar throat, and i am continually feeling like i am gojng to throw up.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. It points towards some infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. I have seen all the reports. An already destroyed lung is prone to repeated infection and so is the case. As you said you are coughing green phlegm, it points towards infection. You require some days of antibiotics support. I will advise you to get petct repeated once your infection settles down. If the nodules appear increased in size or activity then a biopsy is warranted to rule out cancer.
Hope you understand.
Thanks and regards

I forgot to mention that i am severly allergic to PENICILLIN AND KEFLEX. The last time i was sick they have me a z-pac and it did nothing. What medication would you recommend? My body has been given so much it almost seems like i am immune. Do you know what ultimatly saved me from dying in the coma? Not the many different anti-biotics they tried that destroyed my hair...IT WAS High doses of VITIMIN C WAS WHAT IT TOOK FOR MY BODY TO TURN THE CORNER, i only had 2% chance at that time. SO YES I AM TAKING THAT NOW TOO.

Hello dear. There are others drugs too.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have read the details. There are other options like quinolones group of drugs and amikacin or gentamycin . I will advise you to get the sputum examination done for culture and sensitivity and then choose drug as per the report.
