As per photo, it appears to be grade 2 tonsillar hypertrophy ( no muscular growth).

It could be due to recurrent episodes of tonsillitis or secondary to allergy or due to acid peptic disease.

There is a little growth thing on the outside of the tonsils.. Do you see that? It's the same color of the tonsil?.. Can this be cancer? Its not like on the tonsil. It's on the skin on out side of the tonsil and when you stick your tongue out it moves forward with tongue.? No chance of cancer? And you said it doesn't took like it. Does cancer look different? And what could be done about this? Looks like it's on the anterior fold part?

1.Yes. It's a mucosal fold (I am sure).

2. Cancer is common in 4- 5 decade and which is commonly seen in people who smoke and take alcohol for prolonged periods.

3.Most cancers appears as expholiative growths (cauliflower like appearance which is red to white) which tends to bleed on touch and associated with neck mass (lymph node enlargement).

4. Permanent solution- tonsillectomy.

I do have enlarged lymph nodes? No mass I dont think but I do have enlarged lymph nodes.. N i read it can be cancer from hpv and I might have hpv. Does that change your mind? Or you still think no cancer

Yes. I am still thinking of simple tonsillar hypertrophy (no cancer).

Lymph nodes enlargement differs ( fixity, tenderness number and size) from infection to cancer. This can only be differentiated by any surgeon and it can be proved by fine needle aspiration cytology.

Human papilloma virus is one of the associated factor in causing the cancer, but not in all.

In my opinion, you can go ahead for tonsillectomy to prevent recurrent lymphadenitis (infection of lymph nodes causes enlargement).

Can you live with lymphoma? Is it treatable? Also all blood tests were nornal but I think I have had it along time!. My mri reports says stuff about it.. And that was from January..is this treatable? Old mri from February says I need follow up swollen lymph nodes and doctor never told me.. If I had it this look how far could it have spread? And can it be treated? And what kin do lymphoma could it be?

Hello again,

1. No. Its not lymphoma (you do not have lymphoma. Most common symptoms are weight loss, fever and lymph node enlargement in groups(inguinal,axillary).

2. Yes. Even lymphoma is treatable one.

3. MRI doesn't confirm lymphoma. You need to confirm with fine needle aspiration cytology or lymph node biopsy.

4. In case of prolonged lymph node enlargement, I suggest you to go ahead for above mentioned investigations.

5. In my opinion, it is just lympheadenits (lymph node inflammation), secondary to recurrent episodes of tonsillitis.

I now notice a node like thing on my neck pleae look at it!? Could this be lymphoma?. And all blood work was normal does that matter ?

I have already told you, it's not single, it's always multiple groups ( lymph node enlargement) seen in lymphoma with deranged cells (size, shape and number).
