Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that first it is important to exlclude/confirm any potential local complications due to angiography procedure (though these complications are rare, they do occur in predisposed individuals).
Several potential local complications may occur at the femoral area utilized for arterial access, such as:
- hematoma,
- arterial dissection,
- arterial thrombosis,
- pseudoaneurysm,
- retroperitoneal bleeding,
- arterio-venous fistula
If any of the above happens, pain may result as a consequence of tissue structure damage of compression.
Coming to this point, it is important to consult your attending physician (cardiologist or GP) for a careful physical exam (to investigate for any abnormal masses [hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, etc.], abnormal/absent arterial pusations, etc).
If necessary, additional tests, like Doppler ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound would be necessary to conclude any underlying disorders.
