Question: we are planning for a baby.This si our first time and we have few queries:
1.I m hypothyroidism patient but my tsh,t3 and t4 levels are normal after taking medication.My Menstrual cycle is normal. What are the precautions,dos and donts that I need to take care.
2.When is the most optimal time to try to conceive.
3.I have mechanical backache due to long sittings in office,what effects it might have.
4.What all are the other things to consider including diet and exercise to conceive

Thanks for the query to HCM,
1. as you are hypothyroid and maintained on thyroxine to normalcy, you need to continue taking thyroxine to maintain the tsh levels.
2. The best time to conceive would be your fertile period from day 12-22 of your cycle if your cycle is 28-30 days.
3. Mechanical backache will not cause any deterrence during conception , just that it should controlled with regular back exercises and stretches.
4. There is no specific diet or exercise which can help you conceive, but you need to follow your ovulation time.

Also I wanted to know Can I do cardio exercise in gym and also Swimming when planning for a child? will it hamper the chance of conceiving ?

Swimming is advisable and cardio gyming can be undertaken if aim is to reduce weight and better ovulation , however everything in excess should be avoided.

Post pregnancy, pregnancy yoga and swimming can be continued but gymming should be avoided. Simple walking twice a day shall be helpful further.

its already been 3 months since we are trying but still haven't conceived.My thyroid levels are normal.when is the best time to conceive? when does it reflect in pregnancy test?

Hello,
The best time to conceive is from day 12- day 20 of your menstrual cycle , which is your fertile period and chances of conception are high if intercourse is performed multiple times during this period when you ovulate.
the earliest the pregnancy test can be performed is after 8 days os last intercoruse with a serum beta hcg test, which can be conclusive.
