Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety, Tiredness And Lack Of Enthusiasm

Question: Hi,

I've been taking sedoxil now for 3 years straight. I don't have a fixed dosage meaning I up my dose or lower my dose depending on my enxiety. I'm currently taking 2mg daily (1in the morning and 1 afternoon ,Im still feeling very anxious though. I just came of seroxat a few months ago also. To be honest i dont know whats causing me all this enxiety all i know that its ruining my life. I constantly feel tired and like I'm not in control of my body. I also lost my enthusiasm towards things i liked to do. I hope that this phase will fade away as its really hard at the moment. I feel like im on my own and constantly thinking that something is seriously wrong with me. Ive been to many doctors who told me that I'm fine and that I'm going through a 'low' , hopefully I'll get better.

thank you for your reply.

like i mentioned previously, do my sytoms (increase in anxiety, feeling tired etc) have anything to do with mt aeroxat widroyal? my doctor told me that I could be a big possibility. I was on seroxat for 3 years and slowly tapered down to 0, I've been of the drug for 2 months now and I was really honestly doing great. Now im feeling really bad and I really wish to feel better.

I don't wish to go back on seroxat but if you think that it will restore my life back than I have no option.

Yes Seroxat discontinuation is also a major issue with production & aggravation of the symptoms. In my expert opinion, Paroxetine (seroxat) is a best class of drug to handle the problems of feeling tire, low self esteem and increasing anxiety. I don't know why you left and replaced it with Ativan.

I suggest you to consult back your treating physician and ask him for prescription of the drug if not contraindicated or if there is no risk factor associated.

It has a better adverse effects profile as compared to the Ativan and also has less dependence and less life threatening withdrawal symptoms.

Ive just started seroxatagain this morning (10mg) for now, if I still won't feel better ill go up to 20mg. I cannot take this anxiety and tiredness etc anymore. I came off the drug hoping that all will be ok but as I can see now it was a big mistake. Hopefully I'll

Every drug has its own Adverse effects profile, so has Paroxetine.

Detailed Answer:

You need medications and it is great that you started. For doses 10,20mg the adverse effects are not so high but for 40mg there is a little bit more than lower doses.

But it is safe to take for longer periods of time, until unless taken under the direct supervision of a psychiatrist. In case of any change in behaviour or suicidal ideation, consult your doctor for proper care and may be you need to discontinue or adjust the dose.

If you feel constipation/diarrhea, Blurred vision, impotence, altered sensations in the body etc etc due to this drug consult you physician.
