Question: Every morning I feel extremely tired. I want to do a test on my adrenal fatigue. Can you please advise how to do a lab test for adrenal fatigue? What can I follow to keep my adrenal gland energised?

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Check the cortisol level.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking!

To test the adrenal gland function you need to check the cortisol level at 8.00 a.m. You need to be fasting and have a good rest and sleep during the night.

If it results to be low then a stimulation test with synacten may be needed.

I would also advice to check the thyroid hormones ( TSH, Ft4), testosterone level and Vit D level.
A low level of each of them may cause fatigue.

It will be a pleasure to help you further after the above results.
Wishing you good health.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
