Brief Answer:
seizures has to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HealthcareMagic.
I am Dr Aslam here to help you.

From your description,it seems like a seizure attack, your partner is having.
If this started recently, and no history of such attacks in the past,we have to look for any underlying causes like any brain lesions, electrolyte disturbances etc.You can see and discuss this with a neurologist.you may be asked for investigations like a CT or MRI scan of the brain,EEG etc.
Kindly avoid any delay,as some conditions can be completely cured if detected early.
Meanwhile, during such attacks, keep him away from nearby obstacles like furniture, electronic appliances etc.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have further questions,I will be happy to help you.Thank you.
