Brief Answer:
Possible to get stomach cramps while having UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.

I have gone through your query. It is possible to have stomach cramps while having recurrent Urinary tract infections (UTI). You should get a culture and sensitivity test to rule out causing bacteria and sensitive antibiotics. After that antibiotic should be taken for 1 to 2 weeks and redo culture of urine. If you were my patient then i would recommend antibiotic nitrofurantoin and urinary antispasmodic flavoxate after sending urine for culture. And change antibiotic after culture report if necessary.

If you having cramps regularly then an ultrasound examination should be done to rule out presence of kidney stones. Presence of kidney stones can also give recurrent urinary infections.

Taking cranberry juice and barley water will be helpful in alkalizing urine and relieving the symptoms also.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
