Brief Answer:
stool test and blood test

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Loose stools and fever is usually viral.
It may take a week or even10 days to settle.
I would recommend you to continue as per your doctors advice.
It is better to do blood tests for typhoid ( culture and typhi dot) along with complete blood count and crp.
Enquire with your doctor about these tests and that you are worried and concerned now.

I would also recommend you to get stool routine examination.
Continue gramogyl, calpol until.then.
Ensure you give him plenty of liquids including Ors solution to drink to keep him hydrated.
Wishing your child good health.
Regards
Dr Arun
