Brief Answer:
Hot flashes are an indication for HRT

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

The Peri menopausal adrenaline surges or hot flashes are one of the main indications for HRT ( hormone replacement therapy ).
It is a little premature for menopause at your age. Menopause can occur prematurely, especially if there is a history of smoking. 3 months of amenorrhea along with serial elevation of gonadotropins are needed to diagnose menopause. Hormone replacement therapy can be initiated in consult with your doctor.

Please consult your doctor before deciding on any further course of action.

wishing you best of health

Brief Answer:
Yes, its possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Yes it could be related to anxiety. Low dose propranolol and benzodiazepines can be advised to see for improvement, in consult with your doctor. However if the symptoms persist despite symptomatically treating the anxiety for a month then HRT should be considered.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Brief Answer:
continue the clonazepam for now

Detailed Answer:
hello,

You should continue the clonazepam. Dizziness, fatigue and somnolence can occur with its use. However the dose you described is quite low to cause these symptoms. It may be continued for a week, if the effects don't wean off or worsen then you should consult your doctor for a discussion to increase the propranolol dose and stop the clonazepam.

Thanks.
