Question: I noticed I have Palmar erythema; however I dont have spider neva, jaundice, appetite issues, asetis or other liver problem symptoms. It only shows up outside when its real hot. I used to drink. Is this only evidence of fatty liver or only appearing in advanced liver disease,

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read carefully all your concern s and I can say as follows:
1. You are reporting to have used alcohol and now you have noticed palmar erythema.
It is true that palmar erythema are suggestive for liver cirrhosis but not crucial sign.
It is a vasodilatation of palmar vessels that is visible at alcoholics.
2.Otherwise there are a lot of other exams that can rule out/ confirm cirrhosis or fatty liver.
To my opinion you should be examined with :
- abdominal ultrasound
- AST,ALT, GGT and bilirubine level.
- blood work
- prothrombin level
Meantime it is better to stop using alcohol, increase physical activity and have a healthy lifestyle.
Hope it was helpful to you!
