Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

Yes, after seeing the picture I conclude you are having skin tag. It should be pain less. And it follows after fissure or any procedure in anal canal.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Brief Answer:
Any trauma also may cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Usually some trauma to anal region due to constipation may also cause skin tag. You may not have noticed it.

Since it is thickened skin it won't reduce by medications or itself. If it is causing any problem like pain or cosmetic then you may get it removed by small surgery . In that they give anaesthesia to the tag and cut it off . 10mins procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

This isnt like a skin tag on another part of the body, ie there is no "stalk". Can it still be removed? It has also gotten larger over two years. Is that cause for concern? Thank You!

Brief Answer:
It can be removed

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for late reply.

It is not necessary that everywhere stalk should be there. Skin tag may be without stalk. Yes it can be removed.

Sometimes the cause like straining during stools passing and constipation persist and skin tag may grow. One more possibility could be you had a external piles which got fibrosed and formed a tag.

To look , it doesn't appear to be concern. But as it is always better to get examined , I suggest you to consult your doctor just to confirm it and get it removed in same setting. It's not a emergency condition.

Looking at the mass it does not appear anything alarming like severe infection or cancer etc.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
