Suggest Treatment For Pain In Penis During Urination After Protected Sex

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Jul 2015
Question: I had protected sex with unprotected oral sex about 11 days ago. Immediately following I felt pain in my penis like I had to pee. Since then, it has come and gone but I still have pain in my urethra. I went for a ghonnorrea and chlamydia test 4 days afterward and both came back negative. I have not had any discharge but it feels worse after I ejaculate. I was told it could be an allergy to latex but would that still be bothering me after 10 days?

Brief Answer:
I don't think a latex allergy should last this long; urine culture

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. A latex allergy could indeed last for long, but most of the infections that present with a presentation similar to yours this early are gonorrhoea and chlamydia, both of which you have been tested for.

I would request you to go about a urine culture and sensitivity examination, this will help to confirm/rule out the presence of any bacteria that may be present. Please make sure you request for this at your doctors office and also give your urine sample before the initiation of any medications whatsoever.

I doubt a latex allergy could last this long, which is why I am requesting for the urine sample to be sent to the laboratory for analysis. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Thank you for your response. Can I get this done somewhere other than my primary care doctor?

Yes of course it is

Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.

Yes of course, it is widely available. In the two countries that I have practised (India and Russia), the test is easily available with a doctors prescription; please check for the same in your country.

Best wishes.
