Brief Answer:
Many treatment options are available

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns.

Myeloma has got many treatment options nowadays. I think your doc has advised weekly bortezomib injections and dexamethasone tablets, which is a very good option to start with. I use this in many patients. Following that I would consider an autologous bone marrow (stem cell) transplant.

Please send me beta2 microglobulin and albumin test results so that I can make the final staging.

Hope this helps. I will be available for further followup.

Indranil,

Thanks for the response, yes this helps

Beta2 microglobulin is 1.2 (this is in the Serum Protein.pdf attached)
Albumin is also in Serum Protein.pdf (36.6%)

Can you also help in recommending a specialist in XXXXXXX (I am located in Bangalore) with whom I can take this forward in person. Thanks again.

Brief Answer:
conflicting reports

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for overlooking those pages. There are two reports of beta 2, one in page 2 - 4 mg/L and another in page 4 - 1.2 mg/L. So final stage cannot be determined, it is either 2 or 3 depending on actual beta 2 report.

In XXXXXXX you can meet Dr Satheesh CT at HCG hospitals.

Regards

Indranil,

Thanks for the quick response
Value on page 4 is the latest, both are taken about a month apart.

Brief Answer:
if we take that then stage is 2

Detailed Answer:
But so much variation in short time is unexpected. That too without anti myeloma treatment.

Anyway let's start the treatment and hope for the best.
