Start treatment soon

Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.

Your problem is that is male pattern hair loss along with seborrheic dermatitis.
You have been very rightly prescribed by your treating dermatologist for both your skin problems .
Since your hair loss has just started ,so it is very essential to treat it aggressively so as to arrest its further progression .
This type of hair loss is progressive in nature .So it is important to start proper treatment as early as possible .
So my advise would be to start treatment right away, and follow it religiously.

Dear Doc,

Thanks. I am just little concerned as i Have read some serious side effects of Finax and curlzviz tablets on a man's libido, which obviously no man wants to loose. Just want to confirm , is it possible if i just apply Mintop and Candid b lotion and avoid such tablet. will it be cured by this only or do i have to make these medicines necesaary and if yes the for how long. Please Confirm

Brief Answer:
Need not worry about side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I understand that you are concerned about the potential side effects of these medicines .
But I would like to tell you that finasteride is a very effective medicine to restore the lost hair ,especially in your problem.
It is widely used be dermatologists all over and even in my clinical practice ,I have not seen anyone developing any major side effects .
Impotence as a side effect of this drug is very rare and also is a reversible side effect ,which means that if you encounter any problem ,you can stop the drug and the normal activity resumes .
So my advise would be to follow the treatment without worrying .
Trust your doctor .He must have examined you well and prescribed the best medicine as per his experience .

Brief Answer:
Take treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi

You can take the tablets as prescribed in the morning and at night .There is no harm in taking them together .
Take treatment seven days a week for it to be most effective .
Since you have to apply candid lotion ,it is better to avoid applying oil or anything else over scalp ,since it will decrease the drug absorption and action .
Taking biotin rich diet by inclusion of dry fruits and green leafy vegetables to your diet will help .
I am a XXXXXXX based dermatologist ,so my advice would be to take treatment and follow up either with your doctor or here on this forum .

Hi Doc.
I have consulted an another doc and he suggested me following Natural tablets :
1. Nutrilite or AMWAY-Saw Palmetto and Nettele Root soft Gel.
2. EMU Oil for external application
3. Dietary add ons like Green Tea and SOYA Products.
Doctor told me that these things are Natural DTH Blocker, which further help in stopping hair fall.
Plz Suggest, these Natural Products are good to try initially then finax and other tablets as these have little side affects/plz suggest.

Hi again

I can understand that you are very worried about your problem as well as the various treatment associated side effects .
But, in my experience, I would recommend that you should take the treatment as advised earlier by your doctor .
For your problem, that would be the best possible treatment and I would have advised the same medicines to my patients as well with a similar hair loss .
I won't say that the natural treatment options won't work, but due to my limited experience in these products and also since I myself practice allopathy, so I am more in favour of allopathic medicines .
If you are really very worried about finasteride, you can skip this tablet and take the others .
Results are faster and long lasting with this tablet, but even the other agents will help in restoring the lost hair.

Start treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

Yes,you can start application of candid lotion in morning and Mintop at night along with the shampoo twice weekly .
Take both the tablets ,one in the morning and the other at night .
You can avoid finasteride.
Any kind of sexual feelings are not associated with your hair problem .
Such feelings might be completely normal ,and i don't think you need to be worried or take any kind of treatment for the same .

Tests to do

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

You can get a compete thyroid profile done but according to me ,there is no need for a serum testosterone level since it has no association with hair loss .
