Thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, the pain with no localization is always a tough task. I would like to ask you a few queries so I can guide you further:

1. Where exactly is the localization of pain, is it below the knee or above it?

2. ANy swelling which you can notice?

3. Any associated backache ?

4. Any numbness or tingling in the leg

5. Duration of start ? Has it been progressive or constant?

I would like to look for causes of Osteoarthritis/ or Low backache which is radiating to your legs

Do let me know these queries

Would guide you further

Thanx for your reply

Well there is a possibility that the pain in the leg is coming from the knee joint. Examination of your leg will give us a better clue but considering it is centered around the knee and with the age, more common causes go for osteoarthritis knee. It is a degenerative joint disease due to erosion of cartilage between the joints which causes increased pain on weight bearing and decreases at rest.

I would suggest if you can consult a rheumatologist. It takes a lot of time for the appointment there, so you can visit your GP and ask them to rule out osteoarthritis of the knees. If the pain is due to knee, an intra articular injection would help

If the knee is also good, then it is something else we need to look into. Till then avoid cross legged position or sitting below the chair level

I hope the information was useful

Do let me know for more queries. Would be happy to help out
