Suggest Treatment For Itching Caused By Scabies

Question: I have had severve itching on and off for for over 3 months. I consulted both my doctor and a dermatogist. My dermatologist thought it sounded like scabies, and at her request I took the permethrin cream treatment and for about 4 weeks I felt better. Slowly the itching has come back . Is it common for the scabies to reappear? I followed all the directions carefully, washed all bedding and clothing in hot water and hot dryer and reapplied the treatment a week later. I have been around no else who has had symptoms. What should I do?

Improvement with permethrin suggests that the diagnosis was correct.
Persistence of itch is quiet common in scabies.
It is called as post scabies itch and happens due to release of antigens from dead mite.
Take an antihistamine tablet daily for 15 days.
Apply permethrin every 15 days for another two months.
All the family members staying at a house must be treated even if they don't have symptoms
Do this, you will get response.
