Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain In An Athlete

Question: I am an active 48 yr old women. I have been doing circuit training with weights and such for almost a year now. I do spin classes too. I am on a softball league that started in April. The first game when I ran to first, I did something to my right hip tendon? as I reached for the base. I rested for the weekend and went back to my regular workout routine on M & W. I did not feel any pain while I was working out but about half way home I experienced pain in my hip and down my leg while I was driving. I play ball one day a week and it usually hurts while I am running the bases but not otherwise. Last week the pain was so bad after the ballgame that I almost had to stop the car and walk around before I got home. I know that I should quit playing softball for a while but wondering if I should stop working out or change up my workouts too. I'm guessing that I may have a bursitis/tendonitis issue but the pain is usually in the middle of my glute on the right side and under my buttocks.

Brief Answer:
It is nerve compression in spine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for replying to my questions. I think you are having nerve compression in spine and that pain is radiating to gluteal region. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Tablet Pregabalin M at night time.
2.Back muscle strengthening exercises.
3.Avoid forward bending, weight lifting and sudden jerk to your back.
4.If still pain remains then you need to get MRI of the spine to see if their is nerve compression and if yes then what is the severity of nerve compression. According to that further management can be planned.
thanks
