Brief Answer: Life style modifications, drugs Detailed Answer: Hi, thanks for using HCM. I went through your query and understood your concerns. I hope your BP is 156/105mmHg. Medications are not the only measures in BP control. First line of management is life style modifications , which includes regular exercise, diet control and then meditations. Many of my patients do get there BP controlled with these life style modifications. I recommend that you find ways to regulate lifestyle and diet. Now since your BP is not controlled I would suggest that you add another antihypertensive instead of increasing amlopress. For my patients I usually advice ARB group of drugs like telmisartan or losartan. Discuss with your prescribing doctor for dose and frequency. Besides this, I also find you have marginally higher Hba1c level. I insist that you work thoroughly with your doctor and get it back to stable limits (below 6.5). Hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask further related query. I will be glade to answer them. Wish you a good health. Regards
