Brief Answer:
Could be due to infection but needs further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query and understand your problem.

Swelling and pain in testis might occur due to inflammation (orchitis) which could be bacterial or viral but needs to be evaluated further.

It will be important to get a clinical examination done of the testis and then if required an ultrasound scan might be required to know if there is any problem inside the testis. The blood flow to the testis is also important to evaluate.

In conclusion, please consult surgeon or urologist who will take complete medical history with thoroughly clinical examination and may order some relevant investigations like complete blood counts,ESR,CRP,Urine examination and ultrasound of scrotum.

Meanwhile, you can take OTC pain killers with serratiopeptidase combination to reduce swelling and pain.

You will also require appropriate antibiotics like cephalosporins (cefixime) or quinolones (levofloxacin) to combat infection.

Do not worry and immediately consult surgeon or urologist who will know about it.

Hope this will help you.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
