Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have noted down the complaints.

You seem to have, Telogen effluvium.
Telogen is the resting phase of hair life cycle. Hair that enters Telogen phase falls out over the next 2-3 months.
Normally only 10 % of scalp hair are in Telogen phase. However, when percentage of Telogen hair increases, it manifests as increased shedding over the next 3-4 months/ Telogen effluvium e.g post partum telogen effluvium is quite common after delivery.

I would like to gather more clarity from you regarding your query.

-Has your hair fall increased after delivery? Or is it the same as it was during pregnancy?
-How severe it was during pregnancy?
-How many hair do you lose per day? can you tell me an approximate number.. 100?

Hair loss during pregnancy is quite unusual. Most women find that their hair is thicker and fuller when they are pregnant.
It is much more common for hair to fall out, after the birth of your baby rather than when you are pregnant.
This usually starts in the third or fourth month postpartum and ends by six months. This is a temporary phase.
During pregnancy the increased levels of estrogen in your body makes your hair thick and lusturous, hair that would normally fall out stays put, resulting in thicker hair.
After delivery when estrogen levels fall you start losing all those hair that were resting during pregnancy. This temporary hair loss is in fact hormonal.
I would advice to take a good healthy diet rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals.
Continue with your Iron and calcium supplements, Vit D supplements till you are breast feeding.
Take a high protein diet because hair is all protein(keratin).
You may add an Oral Biotin supplement, once daily for the next 6 months.
