Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I have been through the detailed medical history given by you.in the case report uploaded.Medicines as advised surely, must be continued along with physiotherapy.

Regarding your query,
Granulomas have an inherent nature of getting calcified or dead after a few months or years.Granulomas frequently present with seizures,so usually patients are to be maintained on antiepileptic medicines. In due course of time, when the granulomas gets calcified, frequency of seizures episodes often gets decreased but on the other hand,it may not because even the dead or calcified granulomas can irritate the neurons, causing seizures(calcium has the tendency to irritate neurons making them fire abnormal electrical discharges,sometimes).So,follow-up CT scans or Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of Brain are done to see the status of granulomas, that whether they have calcified or not.Even if they calcify, antiepileptics are continued till the patient have atleast 2-3 years of seizure free period.

Evaluation should be done to look for the cause of granuloma-whether tuberculosis or neurocysticercosis as these are the most common causes of granulomas in XXXXXXX Depending on the cause, antituberculous or anti-cysticercal therapy may be given.

But,as far as cure is concerned, there is no way we can take it out or eradicate them.At the best, they will calcify and getting calcified is termed as a dead granuloma.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.Your rating will be of help to me.
