Suggest Treatment For Functional Constipation

Question: My stool remains soft but remains no cleared. This continues since last 15 years. Since last 3 monthsr I take Lactihep Syrup at bed time for better relief. Last week I took Cremaffin plus which did not give good result rather resulted non clearance of tool. Then Lactihep Syrup also fail give result as was before. Once doctor advised me of IBS patient. I took COLOSPA RETARD tablets BD for three weeks 3 months ago which gave satisfactory result. 15 years ago one XXXXXXX doctor advised not to worry about non clearance of stool even for 2/3 days three days.

I am 60 years old male. free from diabetics with normal pressure. Can I take Piclin Syrup for immediate relief ? Can I take medicines for IBS disease.

Well looks like you have functional constipation.
Can continue lactulose can increase the dose even upto 30 ml at night. If still not better can try a combination of lactulose and isapgula husk like lactifibre 2 tsp night.
Also need to check your thyroid function tests and stool occult blood three samples as screening for colon cancer, though unlikely
In addition you can ensure adequate water intake high fibre diet and regular walk too.
All this will help you in long run.

I place hereunder result of thyroid test:
T3- value 100 : T4 - value 13 : TSH -value 5.22 (test was done 1 year ago since above mentioned values run upper side. Test done by automated liasion (diasorin) flash chemiluminescence systen , as wrritten in rest report. It is worth mentioning my memory power is also poor.

Pl guide me for a better treatment. Also tell me where to get best and trustful treatment.
