Question: It's the weekend- just had a change in BP medicine - on second day I started getting elevated readings

* why did you need a changes in medications?
*do you have any other medical issues? Or take any other medications?
*do you have chest discomfort, headaches, dizziness, sweating, palpitations ? Numbness tingling anywhere in the body or muscle weakness, slurred speech?
I suggest you talk to your doctor right away. Meet him if possible.
The blood pressure is too high to wait.
I recommend :
- double check your blood pressure by a trained medical personnel.
*If that's not possible, monitor your pressure every 2 hrs. Make a note of it. If most values are high, you need to see your doctor right away.
*If not then keep monitoring thrice a day for 5 days.
*If a couple of reading are slightly high (150/80) it is OK but anything higher should be checked out.
-if you experience any of the above mentioned symptoms, go to the ER right away.
