Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection

Question: Since last 2-3 months, I am having infection in my throat/ear with continuous noise in my left ear. Doctor prescribed some antibiotics/medicines, however, the problem is still there. I also get numbness below my earlobe (from outside) and feels some problem in the nerve/inner part. Kindly guide.

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

As per your history, you have infection in the throat. This is already treated with antibiotics.
Next is ringing sensation in the ear needs to be evaluated. This can be because of many reasons.

keeping your throat infection in mind, it can be because of eustachian tube dysfunction causing negative pressure in the middle ear. Apart from this, any inner ear disease also can cause this. All this needs clinical evaluation and treatment.

Empirically you can take a decongestant tablet twice daily for 5 days + steam Inhalation + valsalva exercises. If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated.
