Question: Hi Doctor,
I am doing okay, I started to do the first flight of stairs in my building to get outside. It's a big deal for me because I wasn't able to do it before. I am getting a lot of help from the Occupational Therapist I work with.
Still not able to get to doctors appointments since I am not cleared yet to go out. It's coming though I know it is. My 02 levels and pulse have been good even with movement climbing stairs, walking in my apartment etc..
Hope you are doing well and once again I am so appreciative for all your help.
Happy New Year!!!

Brief Answer:
This is good that you are improving.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your direct query on HCM.
It's always wonderful to hear back from you.
It's good that you are improving.
I am so happy that I contributed in your improvement.
It's really satisfying for doctors.
Try to consult pulmonologist and discuss about PFT, CT thorax and 2d echo.
And I guess previous question is still alive. Is it so? I am asking this because you asked new direct query.
And Happy New year to you too.

As soon as I am able to see a Pulmonologist I will discuss the PFT, CT thorax and 2nd. echo. I am still home bound until further notice from my occupational Therapist. I need to continue to work on building my stamina before i can get out.

I was just asking that your previous thread (question) is closed or still open?
In my account it is opened.
Since we are in New question, it is better to close previous ones to avoid confusion.
I hope I made my point clear.
It's absolutely fine if you don't close previous one.

Hi Doctor Bhavsar,
I got into trouble for asking to many questions. I was subscribed to unlimited questions yet they cut me off saying I was abusing healthcare magic. From my prospective you were really helping me with my lung problem so I wanted to continue with you. There were no thoughts of abusing this system. As I told you I can't get out to see a Pulmonologist because I am home bound right now. I am making a great deal of progress using the three flights of stairs in my building to get to the front door. I am working with my Occupational therapist. I am afraid of losing my breath on the way up. This is a big fear I have and it keeps me from using the whole stair case. I am in the process of getting a portable oxygen concentrate to help me with this.

Is there anything else you can recommend that I do to help me with the stairs?
Thank You

First of all sorry for late reply as I was busy.
Yes, Supplemental low flow oxygen will be helpful.
Along with oxygen, you should do yoga, deep breathing exercises, chest physiotherapy etc.
Avoid excess water intake.
Avoid salt, oily and fatty food.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
