Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

Patients with atrial fibrillation may be asymptomatic, but this doesn't decrease the risk of cardiac events (including stroke, pulmonary edema or even death). This is why it's important that your husband be treated properly.

If he was my patients I would have used the following medications:
- Betablockers and Digoxin to keep his HR below 100 bpm
- Xarelto 20 mg to prevent stroke or TIA

However, before giving more accurate suggestions I would like to check by my self all his medical data. Can you please upload the requested data for me?

Wish you health!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

Since his HR is within the normal range (between 50-60 b.p.m) there's no need for betablockers and digoxin to control his HR.

The only treatment he needs is Xarelto 20 mg to prevent stroke and other life threatening situation.

However, since xarelto is a medication which may have unwanted effects you should discuss with your physician about starting it.

Wish you and your family health!
