Posted on Mon, 18 Aug 2014
Question: Hello, I have developed a rash on both my forearms. It started as a round/oval group of small, red bumps. Now I have many small, red bumps all over both arms.

They are not painful and are not itchy.

The rash started 5 days ago.

Brief Answer:
Probably an allergy!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I have taken a look at this rash. It seems typical of an allergic reaction. What makes it strange is the absence of pain and itch. I will suggest that you go on a take Benadryl to prevent it from spreading any further and hasten healing.

Also, check if there is something new you have been manipulating or using recently. If there is any, please keep it aside as it would be the most likely cause of this. Also, if you visited unfamiliar places with grass, woods, etc., this may be possible sources of exposure.

In all, likely to be an allergy reaction. Benadryl would prevent further spread and hasten healing. Try to identify the possible exposure to prevent this in future.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
