Question: My daughter was supposed to take .1 MG of Clonidine, but took 15 MG of Mirtazapine by mistake. Can she go ahead and take the Clonidine as well? The Mirtazapine hinders her sleep.

Is she regularly taking this drug or was it intended for some other person and she mistakenly took it? In any case, she can still go ahead and take the clonidine as there is no contraindication of adverse interaction between the two medications. Mirtazapine is known to cause sleeping difficulties and I anticipate that this will get resolved within 48hours at most when the drug must have been out of her system.
