Brief Answer:
needs 2 drugs

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
From your reports your daughter has significant urinary tract infection.
This kind of infection usually needs to be treated with 2 drugs to ensure complete cure.
I would also prescribe amikacin injection im once a day for atleast 5ndays along with nitrofurantoin .
Then repeat urine culture to see if infection is treated.
Wishing good health
Regards
Dr Arun

Septran or cotrimoxazole is available in syrup form.
But again I would prescribe amikacin injection along with it.

My daughter has taken three doses of septran syrup of 20 ml each. She is feeling itching in her thighs without any redness. Is it side effect of septran and I should stop srptran?

Brief Answer:
if it increases or persists ,stop

Detailed Answer:
It may or may not be related .
If itching persists or increases over next 1 or 2 days, you need to stop septran. Else continue.
