Brief Answer: Upload the reports? Detailed Answer: Hi ther, can you upload the reports please. It will give me alot of information and will allow us to have a more informed discussion. Normally when you have a collapsed disc, you don't do a nerveplasty. You do a decompression to release the nerve. So if you can upload whatever you've got, maybe I can understand things a bit better. Looking forward to your response. Vinay

Brief Answer: Sorry, the system is acting up Detailed Answer: Hello. I'm sorry you had to wait this long for a response from me. I just got notified about you reports and I am taking it up with the healthcaremagic team. Now, to your report. The radiologist has pointed out the different sections of the cervical spinal cord that are compressed. I am very sorry to say, but i think the only way you will get long term relief from this is through decompression of the spinal cord. There are many ways to achieve this surgically. From minor surgery to major That having been said. It's not Nerveplasty that is being recommended, it's a Nucleoplasty! And that is exactly what I would do, because it a minor procedure. Nucleoplasty therapy is a recently developed technique for the treatment of pain coming from a spinal disc. A special probe is inserted into the spinal disc and is used to remove a small amount of disc tissue from the disc nucleus and then to applied controlled thermal energy or heat to the disc. This causes the pressure within the disc wall to decrease and allows the disc to bulge or protrude less. Now if this procedure doesn't work, we can look into more traditional forms of decompression, but I think that your doctor is on the right track. I hope this helps. Good luck! Vinay

Brief Answer: Physical therapy MAY help, but i think surgery OK Detailed Answer: I don't know who is telling you not to be operated upon. But i would disagree. I think Nucleoplasty is a good option. That having been said. The other option is regular physical therapy. It may help, bit you have to do it religiously. The choice is yours. Vinay

Brief Answer: Physical therapy is proven to work Detailed Answer: Hi, I do not know what you mean by Desi Nerve Massage and I do not prescribe any treatments that do not have at least SOME medical evidence behind them. So instead of nerve massage, why not contact a good physical therapist and see what exercises can be done to help your situation out. They have proven methods that work in my opinion. Take Care, Vinay
