Suggest Treatment For PCOD When Diagnosed With High TSH Level
Question: Hi,
I have been recently diagnosed with very hight TSH(Above 150). And also i did antibodoes antithyroid test which was also very high.I have also been diagnosed with PCOD.I went for the tests when i experienced sudden weight gain.
My parents dont have thyroid.I also went for fasting sugar but that was normal.
Will all these problems affect in family planning. It has been 8 months since i am married.I am not planning for a baby now.But i will doing the same next year.So will there be problems in that. Can thyroid levels be normalised? will i have to take medicines through out my life.
Also i have started work out for 60 minutes daily.I go jogging, execise and yoga. Will i be able to reduce my weight.I have contrlled my diet along with workout.I have heard that people with thyroid find it difficult to reduce weight.

Dear XXXXXXX
hi !
you can definitely conceive and have a normal delivery once things are under control.
as far as your ideal weight is concerned, what is your height and present weight?
regular cycles can be anovulatory , so PCOD can still exist if you have regular periods!
regards!

Brief Answer:
u need to lose more.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX hi!
if u are 163 cm. your body weight should be 60- 62 kg. so another 5 kg challenge. rice and rice products have no direct link with thyroid disorders, but they are food with high calories and high glycemic index so make you put on weight.
you can definitely consume brown rice.
regards!

Brief Answer:
salt should be iodized.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX hi!
salt has no direct relation with thyroid disorder. all salts have been iodized as per govt. regulations. so you just take normal salt which is iodized.
joint pain is a common finding in thyroid disorder. so you must supplement calcium , vitamin d, and b12 daily.
