I was told by a medical processional that this is not a good practice .Tho this works in helping me. what are your thoughts on this matter. Certinally don't want to do myself any harm. I was doing this maybe 3 to 4 times daily. Is this causing more trama then good?

Brief Answer:
Yes my friend, a gloved finger will cause trauma than good.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to H.C.M. I am Dr Krishna Dubey.

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I see similar cases amongst people and can understand their mental trauma.

You should change this routine because its is harmful and can cause trauma with bleeding.

Initially it will be difficult but i know that strong desire will overcome this habit.

Use other alternatives in routine work like

1) Drink adequate water throughout the recovery phase, typically no less than eight cups (64 ounces) per day

2) High fiber diet continue and avoid tea, coffee, spicy food, oily food and smoking.

3) Moderate aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking 20–30 minutes a day, can help stimulate bowel function.

4) Frequent soaks in warm water (sitz baths) help relieve pain and muscle spasms.

5) Stool softener syrup like Cremaffin.

Follow up your surgeon regularly.

Sorry but again same thing that avoid inserting gloves with suppositories.

Hope this answers your question.
