Brief Answer:
It is possible due to the inflammation resulting from bite

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
It is possible that after spider or any other insect bite the resulting inflammation can lead to pain , redness and swelling at the site of the bite and the adjoining area. I recommend my patients to take antiinflammatory medicines and apply topical cortisone on the affected area. Also keep the foot elevated by placing a pillow underneath to reduce the swelling.
I hope to have answered your query.
Wish you speedy recovery.
