Question: Dear doctors,

I had fell down on slippery floor while working about 7 years ago , I had no big injuries at that time but my wrist started hurting after couple of moths when bent inwards or outwards ,it hurts when I put pressure on it, especially when I do push ups, lift any heavy items. I have not had any swelling, or bruising, or bumps. I have not seen a doctor for this problem. could you please suggest me how i am going to recover this .

Thanking you

Brief Answer:
Ligament injury or bony spurs or arthritis can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to ligament injury or arthritis or bony spurs. A physical examination by ortopedician followed by X ray and MRI (if required) of wrist will be helpful to rule out the condition. If there is ligament injury or spurs then surgical correction will be needed to clear it completely. If arthritis then physiotherapy , local corticosteroid injections and wrist bandage will be helpful. Giving ice pack application or warm compress is good also.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
