Suggest Remedy For Loose Stool And Bloated Abdomen

default
Posted on Mon, 24 Aug 2015
Question: I defecate frequently during the day with loose stool shaped almost like thick snakes. I also find that I can't expel all the stool and need to wipe off the excess which is something new for me. I am also frequently bloated and suffering from gas pains at times. If I eat summer fruit like a plum or two, then I have a particularly strong reaction.

Brief Answer:
Malabsorption syndrome can be a possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

Malabsorption syndrome can be a possibility. In such case metronidazole antibiotic therapy along with probiotics will be helpful.

It can also be due to inflammatory bowel syndromes. Identify the irritating foods and avoid such ones. If you have such irritation on taking raw fruits or vegetables of certain kinds then avoid those or take them steamed.

Avoid gluten containing foods for one week and see whether it is improving. If improving then it can be gluten sensitivity and in such case avoiding gluten containing foods will help you.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.
