Question: I am a week and a bit late on my period last month my period came early and lasted 3 and a bit days instead of 5. This month no period! I am so tired I keep falling asleep anywhere I get a chance to sit down and I'm asleep! I been getting some headaches and nausea when I eat some foods that I usually love !! I feel bloated and I feel like I'm putting on weight. My boobs are so sore to touch but once again no period... I feel pregnant like I did with my first but I'm getting negative hcgs. I feel like I could be more then 4 weeks pregnant ... But nothing is comeing up on a pregnancy test what do I do... I'm never like this only when I had my first child ...

Brief Answer:
depends on when test done

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone.

This hormone is produced in increasing amounts during the course of pregnancy. It can be detected by day 11 to 14 after conception by most pregnancy tests.Blood test can detect it slightly earlier.

If the test was done before this time, then it is falsely negative and it would be best to wait 3 to 5 days and then repeat.

If the tests were likely done after this time frame then they are accurate.

IF you wish to be sure you can consider asking your doctor for a blood HCG level.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
yes an ultrasound can be done

Detailed Answer:
HI

Yes, you can ask your doctor if he or she can do an ultrasound for you.

Your doctor may do the blood test first and if needed, the ultrasound after this.
