Brief Answer:
Need examination, audiometry, lab testing, and possible MR of the brain

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for your question and I'm very sorry for your problem.

Buzzing in the head is referred to as TINNITUS. What you will need (in addition to an examination by either an ENT or neurology specialist) to determine the cause would be a hearing test to determine if any hearing loss may be associated with the tinnitus. In addition, laboratory analysis looking at such things such as thyroid hormones, electrolytes, sedimentation rates, and other inflammatory markers could rule out things things such as a vasculitic process, infection, or other metabolic or chemical aberration responsible for or contributing to your condition.

Finally, if after the physical and hearing examinations as well as laboratory analysis there is still doubt or if the examination reveals other symptoms that could be important such as mild loss of balance, ataxic gait, or other neurological phenomenon having to do with eye movements, etc. then, perhaps an imaging study such as an MRI of the brain (potentially with gadolinium contrast) may be worth getting.

I would also order an MRA in order to look for things such as vascular malformations, aneurysms, or fistulas that could be in the mix. For the MRA a protocol known as a HIGH RESOLUTION INTERNAL AUDITORY CANAL imaging sequence should be done.
