Suggest Remedies For Severe Stomach Pain

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Jun 2016
Question: Good evening,

Please help me
I have a pain in my stomach. I've been complaining about this pain since 2009. At one point my doctor thought it was my gallbladder, so I got the gallbladder removed on November 2011. This weird pain is a mixture of pressure and burning pain. My stomach gets very hard and the header it gets the more it hurts. Right now is hurting me a lot. The pain starts right under the chest bone and spread all the way to my pelvic bone and to the sides, mostly to the right side.
On 2013 my doctor told me that I have fatty liver tissue, I was also diagnosed with gastritis another doctor told me that I have a hernia in my stomach, but when I visited a surgeon, the surgeon said that I don't have a hernia, he said it looks like diastasis recti. I do feel the separation of my stomach muscles and if I lift my head the center of my stomach pops up and looks like a football ball. The pain is always there sometimes mild sometimes very strong like now.

Good morning Dr. Senthilnathan,

Thanks for helping me with this problem.
Here is the answer to your questions and I am sending you pictures of two endoscopies I had done in the past: on 2010 an endoscopy and on December 2014 an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

I hope to get to the bottom of this problem, because with no diet or exercise I lose weight and my digestion is a mess. My legs get swollen often and after a car accident on 2011 I have a back pain.

1.what are the other symptoms do you suffer along with the pain? like (vomiting, regurgitation, indigestion)?

ALL THIS TIME I VOMITED JUST 3 TIMES, I DON'T VOMIT EASILY.
I GET REGURGITATION SOMETIMES WHEN I EAT CERTAIN FOODS LIKE BEANS, OATS, BEEF (NOT OFTEN, BUT IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES)
I GET INDISGESTION OFTEN AND IT SEEMS TO ME I TAKE LONGER THAN NORMAL TO DIGEST MY MEALS. I TRY TO EAT SMALL, LIGHT MEALS LIKE SALADS, SEVERAL NUTS, APPLES OR PEARS FOR SNACK AND DON'T OVER EAT.

2.what is your occupation and lifestyle?

I AM A BOOKKEEPER AND WORK WITH AN ACCOUNTING FIRM.
DUE TO MY ASTHMA I NEVER HAD A VERY ACTIVE LIFESTYLE AND COULDN'T PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS, BUT I USED TO WALK 2-3 MILES DAILY BEFORE. NOW I TRY TO INCORPORATE SMALL WALKS IN THE OFFICE OR AT HOME WHEN I AM CLEANING UP, I PLAY MY FAVORITE MUSIC AND DANCE SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY, BUT ADMIT THAT I NEED MUCH MORE EXERCISE. I AM WALKING OR RIDING MY STATIONARY REVERSE BIKE 3 TIMES PER WEEK AND DO 1-2 STRENGTH TRAINING WITH MY TOTAL GYM, BUT I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT TYPE OF EXERCISES CAN HELP ME TO REDUCE MY STOMACH AND HEAL MY DIASTATIS RECTI.

3.whether the pain is on and off between the years or continuing right from the year 2009?

THE PAIN IS CONSTANT, BUT VARIES IN STRENGTH. ON GOOD DAYS I FEEL THAT LITTLE BURNING PAIN WITH PRESSURE, BUT BY NOW I DON'T LET IT STOP ME; ON BAD DAYS I CAN'T FIND COMFORT SEATING DOWN AND EVEN LYING DOWN IT HURTS A LOT.

4.whether the medication prescribed gives some solution or no effect in current medication?

THE MEDICATION FOR MY STOMACH DOESN'T HELP MUCH. THE OMEPRAZOLE 20MG DOESN'T HELP AT ALL, AND THE RANITIDINE 300MG HELPS SOMETIME, BUT DAYS LIKE YESTERDAY AND TODAY, NONE OF THOSE ARE HELPING.
THE BLOOD PRESSURE AND THE METFORMIN ARE NOT WORKING AS DISIRED EITHER.

5.Did you ever vomited blood during the course of these pain?

NO. THANK GOD I NEVER HAVE VOMIT BLOOD

6.Do you feel food and your lifestyles influencing your pain?

YES, MANY TIMES MY PAIN GETS WORST WHEN I EAT COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATES AND MEAT. I'VE NOTICED DISCOMFORT WHEN I EAT MY FAVORITE FOODS: BEANS, OATMEAL, ONIONS, WHOLE WHEAT CREAM, CORN, AND I EVEN STOPPED EATING SOY BECAUSE THAT WAS TOO MUCH.

I AM TRYING TO MOVE AS MUCH AS I CAN, BUT EXERCISING OVER 40 MINUTES MAKES ME FEEL WORST.

7.how about your appetite and bowel movements?

GOOD APPETITE. I AM NOCTURNAL AND WORK BEST AT NIGHT, I AM TRYING TO GO TO SLEEP EARLIER, BUT STILL WAKE UP AND DON'T FEEL HUNGRY UNTIL 2:00PM IR 3:00PM.

MY BOWEL MOVEMENTS ARE NORMAL MOST OF THE TIME, I USUALLY HAVE ONE BOWEL MOVEMENT PER DAY, OCCASIONALLY GET CONSTIPATION AND OFTEN I AM GET DIARRHEA JUST LIKE THAT, FROM BEING "NORMAL" WITH MY LITTLE PAIN AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN I HAVE DIARRHEA FOR ONE OR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

8.Did any physician said you got haitus hernia?( because hernia got many types like umbilical, inguinal) hiatus hernia occur in the lower part food pipe and stomach.

NO, MY FAMILY DOCTOR PRESS MY STOMACH AREA A LITTLE BIT AND WHEN HE ASKED ME TO LIFT MY HEAD AND LATER TO GET UP, HE NOTICED THE BULGE ON MY STOMACH AND TOLD ME THAT SEEMS TO BE AN ABDOMINAL HERNIA.

9.when did you noticed that you got a diastasis recti? as it occur in multiple pregnancies?

I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT DIASTASIS RECTI UNTIL RECENTLY. AFTER MY SECOND PREGNANCY MY BELLY NEVER RETURN TO NORMAL AND I FEEL BLOATED ALL THE TIME, I AM HOLDING FLUIDS BECAUSE I DRINK A LOT OF WATER, BUT DON'T URINATE A LOT. MY BELLY MAY LOOK LIKE I AM 3 MONTHS PREGNANT ONE DAY, AND LIKE I AM 8 MONTHS PREGNANT THE NEXT DAY! I'VE NOTICE THE MORE IT HURST THE BIGGER MY STOMACH LOOKS.

At this point I don't know what to eat. My favorite foods are out of the question, almost everything I eat makes me feel bloated and full of gas.

Thanks for your help,

Ada
