There are many things that you can use. What you want to avoid is anything that says "decongestant". Common decongestants are pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine. These are stimulant drugs and can increase your blood pressure.
Medications that are safe are dextromethorphan for cough. Guaifenesin as an expectorant. Antihitamines for sneezing ad runny nose are also fine.
Most throat lozenges are also fine as long as they do not have decongestants in them.
You just have to be careful because many combination medications will also have a decongestant in them. Those you need to avoid.
