Brief Answer:
Intrauterine contraceptive device like Copper-T

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns need of contraception as you don't want pregnancy for next 3 years.

Following is my reply:

1. There various contraceptive methods available in forms tablets / injection or intrauterine devices.

2. Since your wife is still feeding the breast milk, I suggest you go for intrauterine contraceptive device ( IUCD ) like Copper-T.

3. This IUCD had no hormonal side effect and does not interfere with breast feeding. There is no need to take daily pills. It can be kept inside for 10 years.

4) Whenever you wish to have pregnancy, you can remove the copper T and start trying from next cycle of removing it.

5) This is easily available and even cheaper option. It is put free of cost in government hospitals.

I hope your doubt is clarified. Let me know if you wish any other information.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
