Question: Hi..
I have a brother with the bacteria Morganella morganii. Is there by any chance a way to cure the sickness without using drugs? My brother has been sick overgrown with candida, he is now after years of natural treatments free from that. But now the main problem is now the to low ph value (5,5) and this morganella bacteria.

Thanks for your time, doc, your help is very much appreciated

Brief Answer:
Morganella morganii infections

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Treatment of M. morganii infections is usually with antibiotics like Ticarcillin,Piperacillin,Third-generation & fourth-generation cephalosporins.

Non-drug or Non-antibiotic treatment is not documented in Medical Literature.

However probiotics can be tried to restore the normal intestinal bacterial flora as M. morganii is a normal fecal flora that often causes infection in patients whose normal flora have been disturbed by antibiotic therapy.

Probiotics are commensal organisms e.g .Bifilac Capsule which contains Bacillus Mesentericus, Clostridium Butyricum, Lactobacillus Sporegens, Strep Faeecalis or
Darolac Capsule which contains Bifidobacterium Longum, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Saccharomyces Boulardii.

Brief Answer:
Morganella morganii infections

Detailed Answer:
Dysbiotic flora 3+ Morganella morganii is susceptible to Ciprofloxacin.Hence antibiotic treatment with a course of Ciprofloxacin is an option.
Out of natural antibacterial agents Grapefruit Seed Extract has shown moderate sensitivity (low to high sensitivity) Hence taking Grapefruit Seed Extract will help. However therapeutic form and quantity of Grapefruit Seed Extract to be taken daily and duration of therapy is not standardized. Gastroenterologist can be consulted for his advice.
You can certainly add yogurt to your diet daily.
