Suggest Dosage For Zoloft And Diazepam

Question: hi its XXXX
i have been on 100mg. of zoloft for 3 weeks. can i increase my dosage to 150mg. and 2 weeks later increase to 200mg. and also can i take 15mg. of diazepam 3 times daily.

Hope you are doing well.

Yes you can increase your dose to 150 mg if you are not improved satisfactorily. Inform your treating doctor about the same. Wait for 3 weeks more on 150 mg. If you feel inadequate improvement, then you can go for 200 mg dose.

In general I prescribe diazepam 5 mg 3 times daily. I do not recommend more than 10 mg three times daily. Diazepam is benzodiazepine and high dose sometime may lead to sedation and when person is involved in working with machine, it is risky. Better to ask your treating doctor for recommended dose of diazepam.
