Brief Answer: no particular diet Detailed Answer: Ischemic colitis is due to poor blood supply to the colon. It is not related to diet, and there is no "special diet" for this condition. Treatment is generally supportive, and very rarely surgery or aggressive intervention is necessary. What you need to do is keep yourself very well hydrated, drinking plenty of fluids and electrolytes. No limitations in food, however keep in mind that spicy meals, fatty foods, alcohol, smoking, carbonated drinks (such a Coke, pepsi, etc), caffeine, may worsen your diarrhea, therefore try to avoid those. Hopefully that helps. let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
